_i-love-to-wear-matching-outfits-with-my-dog-his-wardrobe-is-getting-bigger-than-mine92.webp "Meet the dog and his owner who love to dress in matching outfits.<br/><br/>Lucy Carrington, 28, and her three-year-old Dalmatian Rio are “best friends” and love wearing similar looks.<br/><br/>Lucy, who is originally from Nottingham, first matched her clothes to Rio for a TikTok trend in July 2023 – pairing the two in matching jumpers and vests.<br/><br/>Strangers loved it so much, Lucy kept doing it and spend a day hunting out stylish outfits for Rio that she can match to.<br/><br/>Rio now has a wardrobe of around 40 clothes – including smart bandana’s and cosy coats.<br/><br/>Lucy, a content creator and lash technician, living in Perth, Australia, said: “He’s like a baby.<br/><br/>“He’s very spoilt.<br/><br/>“Since day one he’s had us wrapped around his paw.<br/><br/>“Now he’s got a bigger wardrobe than me.<br/><br/>“I’m going to have to create a section in my wardrobe.”<br/><br/>Lucy has always been obsessed with fashion and dreamed of getting a Dalmatian after seeing Disney’s One Hundred and One Dalmatians as a child.<br/><br/>She said: “I’d dreamed of having a Dalmatian.<br/><br/>“They are seen as quite high fashion dogs.<br/><br/>“That was part of why I wanted that breed.”<br/><br/>Lucy first dressed Rio up in matching outfits for a TikTok trend where partners wear multiple similar outfits.<br/><br/>She said: “I thought ‘why don’t I doit with my dog?’”<br/><br/>Strangers became so obsessed with Rio and his outfits Lucy kept doing more.<br/><br/>She hunts out doggy outfits from places such as Shien, K-mart and pet shops – spending a day sourcing suitable stylish clothes.<br/><br/>Lucy said: “I spend the best part of a day searching for outfits. I make sure they look good and not silly.<br/><br/>“I order clothes for me that match his outfits.<br/><br/>“It’s easier for me to find things that match.”<br/><br/>Lucy spends no more than $100 AUD on Rio’s outfits each time – and said some of her favourite include his Halloween looks.<br/><br/>Rio loves wearing the clothes but only stays in them for the videos.<br/><br/>Lucy said: “He’s more than happy in them.”<br/><br/>She says her family and partner, Josh, 32, a salesman, loves seeing Rio’s new outfits.<br/><br/>Lucy said: “It’s a running joke with the family.
