The protected area, chosen as one of the Seven Wonders of Nature in the world and declared as UNESCO World Heritage Site, is one of the reasons Palawan is the top cruise ship destination in the country. One of the island province's attractions is the Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park, a protected area located in the Saint Paul Mountain Range on Palawan's western coast, some 80 kilometers north of Puerto Princesa. The City Tourism Department also offers tourists a paddle boat adventure to the mangrove forest and bird-watching. Moises Cruz of The Manila Times tries to eat the tamilok, a wood worm mollusk that lives in the mangrove or 'bakawan' along Palawan's coast. The tamilok, which is found on rotting wood or huge tree trunks, is also known as a 'ship worm.' Both racers died before emergency services arrived at the scene of the crash.<br/><br/>Following the fatal accident, the rally which was organized by the Hibiscus Coast Motorsport Club, was canceled. Both the deceased racers were well-respected and much-loved members of the sport.<br/>Despite his young age, Brooklyn Horan was a talented driver, already a star in rallying, off-road and circuit racing<br/><br/>An experienced rally competitor both as driver and co-driver, Tyson Zane Jemmett was the 2014 New Zealand Central Region Rally vice-champion.
